Yes it would BUT WHY?
Why put a First generation engine in a Third generation? You can get a Series II for a whole lot less $$$$ than it would to convert it to a lower life form! Now, I'm not "Dissing" pre 92'* here, I'm just stating basic facts! Why go backwards in technology? :?

I agree with Rat. Find an L67 or L36 if you're gonna do this. It'* a GTP right? If I put an L36 in there I would replace the GTP emblems with GT...lying is bad.

the engine is seized in it, it was an older woman who never took care of it, the guy said that the tranny and everything is great, I offered her 2500 for the body of the car and she said she would consider it. So now i have to start looking at options. I would like to put my bonne engine in it cause i already have it and dont have to pay for another one, but if someone can get me a good deal on an engine. I may reconsider. its a beautiful car . leather and all

EXACTLY!
My guess is a spun bearing or two!
I bet you could get away with a partial rebuild if there isn't too many miles (KM'*) on the engine!

BoonieBoy! PM me the VIN since you're in Canada & I'll get you the GM pricing on a GM Goodwrench engine that you can use as a bargaining chip!
