Got a little scare today.

Even with TC on, I have to roll into a launch, otherwise I have two smoke columns in the front of the car

Just reading that gives us all an empathetic cringe as we think back to snapped bolt heads, stripped threads, cracked housings and the such. Oh frick, what did I just do?

I've never had HPT do that. DHP on the other hand...never leave home w/o a spare pcm.

Dan..why are you leaning out the fuel when the air is denser? Shouldn't you be adding fuel for the added air?

Because I was running rich. My tails are black. Now my wide band has me at 11.8 at WOT, and about 14.5 at idle. Need to adjust the MAF curve a bit.

I've never heard of HPT bricking a PCM, and I didn't want to be the first. Best I can figure is the PCM didn't like me hitting abort. Might have also had something to do with me turning the key on after starting the transfer. Guess I had a brain fart. Wont do that again.

Of course I cant play the "tuner" game, But how hard would it be to have a Going on a trip PCM, a daily driver PCM, and a Headed for the track PCM.

Easy.

Easier yet though is to have a spare pcm handy and have those as seperate tunes. It'* quicker to load a tune than swap a pcm and swapping a pcm is quick.
