But his was chipped with a freer exhaust, so it would yield more.

In 1993 a Ford Thunderbird V8 came with 200 hp stock. Don't know torque #'*. The Mustang 235 hp 5.0 HO V8 engine was not available in the T-bird.
A few years ago when my brother Dan had just got his motor in his 1987 Daytona Shelby Z rebuilt he raced his sister-in-law'* husband "Kyle" who had a 1989 Supercoupe T-bird. My brothers car had the 2.2 Intercooled Turbo II 5-spd with 174 hp and 200 lb ft. from the factory. The Supercoupe had 210 hp factory and ??? lb ft. with a 5-spd.
In a race to 100 my brother lost by about 1 car length. Both cars were bone stock and had had both of their motors rebuilt within the last 10,000 miles.
I have yet to see a Series I L67 race against either of the above cars so it is hard to say what would win. I would be willing to bet the Supercoupe might take a Series I L67, but not by much.
BTW, TrueWILDMAN, post your 1/8 #'*. I am and many other would really like to see the results.
