The 92 Bonne needs 4 new struts with the works (struts, bearing plates, boots, etc). Called 3 local garages and was told it would cost between $950-$1100 installed with an alignment. Ridiculous!!!!!
Got online to the Advance Auto Parts website. Ordered 4 Monroe Quick-Struts (front and rear) and 4 lower bolt kits (AK43) for $720. Using coupon code PS20 (this code gives you 20% off orders over $100) the total went to $580. Advance also shipped the order for free.
Monroe is running a promotion April 1- May 31,2010 which is good for a $150 rebate on 4 Quick-Struts. Check the Monroe website for other offers. Grand total is $430. That'* only a little over $100 a corner. Still need to get a 4 wheel alignment.

I've done the math up and down with this deal and it is really worth it. All the new parts you are getting with quick struts makes this deal awesome. Plus you don't have to play with the ticking time bomb that is spring compressors.

If I remember correctly, the quickstruts only come with SE rated springs.. even if you order the ones for an SSEi.
