Aright new deal. I went and test drove a white 2002 SSEI yesterday. It had everything even the HUD the black one didn't have. It only has 17,000 miles on it, a one owner, Maryland owned car. This car was like brand new except the passenger seat heater didn't work and they said they would fix that. They recently reduced it from 15,995 to 13,500. This is their current asking price. I offered less but they said no. I left them with an offer of 12,500. I am thinking about just paying there asking price of 13,500 if they don't call me to accept the deal. Would that be dumb? I don't think I'll find another so easy in this condition. When I blue booked it, it was (on the high side) 12975 trade in and 15250 average retail (NADA). I understand they probably didn't give more than 10K for it but I guess that'* how it all works anyways.
What do you guys think and what would you do it they hold on their price? I'm leaning towards buying it because it'* the best one I've seen so far. Thanks again for your opinions.

The dealer probably paid the previous owner $7k to $8k.

Assuming carfax on this 02 SSEi checks out, they fix the seat, and it'* in showroom condition:

$11500 is a great deal
$12500 is a good deal
$13500 is reasonable, but only if that car has EXACTLY EVERYTHING you want, and you think it would be VERY TOUGH to find another like it.

I spoke with them again today and they wouldn't neg. any more off the price. I told them to sell me an extended warranty at cost and I would buy it. They agreed to, so I'm buying it. Here'* the car, http://www.fitzmall.com/carfind/resu...241960&loc=FBN

I didn't get it until today and I was wrong on the color. I must be color blind It looks white to me until I parked it next to my white truck. It'* Ivory.
I found that the dealer had a charge in the cost for a lifetime loaner and a service coupon book. I told them I don't plan to come back so it would do me no good. So I got them to adjust it off the selling price of the car.
Here is the final number I paid
13131.00 - car
1920.00 - 4 yr 48K warranty , Major Guard
19.00 - 60 day temporary tag fee

The warranty was a $100. more than I said because the $1820 had a $100. deductible, the $1920 doesn't.
I didn't pay the dealer any other fees because I told them I'll do my own tags and title.

It does have the Tan SSEI mats in it. I should have my Weathertechs for it on Tuesday (First mod)
