if you know anyone with a 96 XR7 mercury cougar try their power windows. Those things are so fast and strong i could put them up all the way and you could see the door panel move out from the force, you could back them down a little bit and the panel would then rest in the correct place. I would say mine would go up in 3 sec'*

Last summer I had the Driver'* side window motor replaced after I had to wait about a minute before the circuit breaker would cool down enough to let the window go back up. The technician who replaced the motor used 3 brand New Delco motors and it STILL would stall on the way up. He finally replaced the window regulator and it works a little better now(ie. the window now goes up BEFORE I have to pay the next toll on the Parkway). But while I was in Florida over the xmas holiday, after the window went down, I would have to wait about 30 seconds before the window would begin to go up. I think the motor is STILL overheating. The other windows go down and up but at times I think they operate in different time zones!!!
