Keep your engine bay clean, and take the time to poke your head under the hood every once in awhile. You'll be fine!

I know the engine is the same, but are there any differences with exhaust placement or anything? It seems odd that they would only recall SOME cars with the 3800 unless there was something in the other cars with it that prevented the fire from happening.. I might my check my car out though, I don't want it to burn

Any idea what to look for? I'll look for oil leaks, but I don't expect any. There'* a lot of oil in the front but I think that'* just from when the cap blew off last year..

I thought I was safe since it was just the SC 3800, but now if it'* the N/A too i'm worried i'm gonna come outside some morning and see a charred bonneville

The H-bodies, the Bonnevilles, are not included in the recall because the engines sit differently and don't deposit oil on the exhaust manifolds at the necessary angle to light on fire the spark plug wire retainers. If you want to be safe, take off of the front valve cover the spark plug wire retainer and use something else or just position the wires around the fans. I took off the retainer from my 99.
