Default GM Part# Ques

Maybe DeathRat can answer this. I am missing a couple of the black plastic lug nut covers on a couple of wheels. I called a local Pontiac parts dept yesterday and he quoted me a price of $5.00-ea. I then went to gmpartsdirect.com and they show a price of $4.99 list for a pack qty:5. The GM part # is 25550690. I just can't imagine that one cap-wheel cover sells for 5.00 ea. Maybe someone could clarify this. Thanks.

DeathRat, Thanks for replying. I checked a couple more GM Parts in the area and was quoted the same price. We have a local u-pull-it in town. Maybe I will go there and have a look around.

wilwren, Hey, I lucked out the other day. Went to a local u-pull-it and found a wrecked Bonnie. Got 10 of the lug nut covers for .50 ea. It pays to go shopping.

wilwren, Yea, kind of a poor design. looks like there are a couple of threads inside the cap cover. I did one full turn and a half to get it snug. Any more than that and it just spins.Think I will add them to my monthly maintance check and snug them up.

Personally, I'm just going to give PepBys the $27 for aftermarket lug nuts. I never liked thos plastic covers. Several of mine are cracked and one is missing...
