GM needs a vin # for GXP parts and mudflaps

GM needs a vin # for GXP parts and mudflaps
Hey
So i made the call over to GM and they needed my VIN# for getting pedals and a GXP shifter.. problem, my car is an 01 SE and the vin # for mine wont work.
A few of you may remember my hunt for GXP pedals and shifter. Anyone know of where to find GXP parts w/o a vin #?
And hey, GM said they dont offer mudflaps for our cars, if i order the mudflap part #12497409 from GMPartsdirect.com will they fit? just making sure

Some dealers are sticklers...because some parts (can't imagine those being an issue) are better looked up via vin because of mid year changes.
