i'm gonna have 2....92 SE leather, floor shifter, blue....only one major problem...head gasket...lol

for 400 dollars i can't beat it right?

anything really special about the 92'*....other than i now own one

Take a shot of the engine and post it. I'm curious about:

EGR or not?
Aluminum upper intake (one piece upper/lower) or traditional L27 intake?
Magnavox or Delco ignition?

pretty sure it had an EGR valve....not too sure but if i remember correctly its in a completely different spot then my 97

Should have a mushroom cap on it, mounted on the driver'* side of the front head.

I don't think it will effect mileage not to have one. Most 1992 3800'* that Were not supercharged, did not have an EGR valve. There have been a few other members on this forum, that have the same problem, one of the exhaust valves burns out, on a higher mileage engine it wouldnt be wise just to replace one valve, or heck, even to rebuild both heads. For 400 dollars though, who cares? worst comes to worse, you get a 3800 out of another car, Series I, Post 1992.

there is no EGR..and i'm having it towed. i fired it up and it sounds almost like a plug is missing...if you know that sound...but all plugs are in place..

ps. does the same go for the series 1 as it does with the series 2 concerning the supercharger?
