Default gas mileage

I just got a tune up with new wires(Beldns sp?, plugs(NGKtr55), and a new O2 sensor. I also had them do the intake cleaner with the machine that use pressurized foam. They shoot it thru the Intake. I also use a bottle of EFI Cleaner with every fill up.

The plugs looked great that came out. No problems with fouling or being burned up.

The point of the Tune-up was to increase gas mileage. I noticed right away that it had a lot more pick-up on acceleration.

The old mileage was 22 mpg. I will report back in a week and tell you guys if the tune up helped or not. Let'* hope so! Those gas prices are just retarded!

Well, it has been 2 tanks full of gas and the gas mileage is the same.
22 mpg.
Perhaps the upcoming Cat swap will help this number climb!

Default mpg

If this is combined mileage its pretty good. If its all highway it could improve.

We have the same car and I love it though through my rough calculations, I get about 15-16.5 mpg, all city. I deliver pizza on the side and even when I try driving "granny style", I can't get more than the 16.5 ish. I did the basic tune, plugs and such but nothing. I will get a new O2 when I get some more money. How did you calculate the 22 mpg and what kind of driving do you do? My old 92 Grand Prix 3.1 would get 22 mpg delivering if I was easy on her. I guess that'* what I call love of my Bonnie, I have a potential 22 mpg car sitting in my yard that'* perfectly good but I drive the Bonnie.....

Right now I use whatever is here, whatever station is convenient, mostly a place called Maverik or the local Albertson'*. I know I should use premium but I run 89 right now, until the weather warms up, it'* still pretty cold here. I will use 91 when it gets nicer out but I don't think there'* any blended here ( unless I'm not paying attention). Even so, I've driven very easy and still make 16ish city, paying close attention to stay out of boost. She starts good, runs good, no smoke, no knocks, new NGK TR55s. I guess I will have to do more tuning and maintenance.

You're not alone, I don't get so hot of a mileage, admittedly, I don't check it because I just put 20 bucks in and drive around until it hits 1/4 then put 20 more in.

But I would put my estimates at about 20-22 mpg combined. I think it could be better but oh well.

Yes, 22mpg is combined.
The new Cat will go on next week when it comes in.
This will open up the exhaust alot i have been told.
I will let everyone know if mileage increases or decreases.LOL

I use 93 Octane Shell.
I use feul injector cleaner every tank and on hot days I plan on using Octane booster.

I still have to do the custom CAI and lower the T-stat.

My tranny shifts softly, so some very minor slippage may be taking place as harder shifts would definitely give me better performance.(mind you, I don't feel any slipping the shifts are just very soft from one gear to another)
