same here. would the small block be DOHC or OHV?

turbos kick in mid-higher RPMs.
the 5.3'* that I know of are OHV. I know the 5.3 in our 01 Silverado is a beast. that truck can move and it sounds great doing it.

good. I have driven OHC cars before, and they just feel empty to me compared to the torque of a OHV. That and I dont like having to rev the car to 4k rpms to go anywhere, that cant be too good for the engines durability.

what are the specs for the 5.3?

DOHC isn't good at low RPMs but it shines at high RPMs. It'* not higher tech at all, OHC actually came first in engines.

If the 5.2 has some good heads that have good upper RPM power, and don't require a full setup of one specific system (vortec) then it'll be golden.
