BUT...What recall is there for "coolant capsules"?? Sounds fishy to me! Is that a make-shift fix for something related to the upper intakes?
Some of the 2000+ 3800'* had issues with the throttlebody leaking coolant... I think the fix was the Coolant capsules..
LOL. Like Bar'* Leak in it'* solid form! Nice... I don't want that stuff anywhere near my car!!

I got a recall letter too, but the dealership replaced the FPR when they did the UIM in 02.
I pulled the vac hose to check it anyway, no gas came out so I figure it'* good.

Was the upper intake done as a recall or did you pay to have it replaced?

It was under a extended warranty. Total cost to fix a bit over 600$, parts and labor(oil changed, new plugs/wires, gaskets, UIM, coolant flush and new rad cap), only cost me 50$ for deductible.

I got the regulator recall taken care of today. Oddly enough, they only serviced the car for about 15 minutes. I was very surprised.

Curious, I looked under the hood for what they changed and can't seem to find a shiney, new part. So, where is the fuel pressure regulator located exactly? I followed the fuel lines from the firewall to the fuel rail and didn't come across anything that looks like a diaphram. Anyone got a pic of one?
