Default Front Grille of my Car

How hard would it be to change the front grille of a 2001 Pontiac SE ? Now by grille I mean that plastic mesh thing that is in the front of the car. I was looking at it this morning and I see it looks very simple to take out. Now my question is what could I put in it'* place ? Do they have anything that custom fits there or would I have to do it myself. I'm sure they have some mesh that I could buy somewhere and throw it in there. Anybody have any ideas ? :?

Does anyone have any ideas or has anyone did something like this. My friend has a Grand Prix and he did something like this but they had something custom made for his car.

I haven't seen anyone do this on the newer style bonnevilles.
I've done something similar to my 1994 SE. I just bought some stainless steel mesh for home depot.

I guess that would work.Did you have to cut and fit it into your grille ? It looks nice. I would like to do that to my car because I haven't seen anything like that on the newer models.

yeah im probably gonna do that mod pretty soon here. I think it'd look sweet with my split grill in the front due to it being 96-99 SSE style. zzzzzeke, i think it'd be cool if u got a pic from behind ur grill showing how you mounted it in.

If you're refering to raising the hood.. the release is under the passenger side snout/grill on the hood ( the actual grill snout) .. not under the hood bumper like most cars.
