but my LeSabre ran about 9.2 0-60 and that car absolutely killed me!
My Jeep would smoke that LeSabre.

I know the Bonne'* are quite a bit faster than that.

an SSEi bonneville is faster, not the N/A models. My brother'* 92 runs 0-60 in 9.7. Generally all N/A Bonneville'* ran 0-60 in 9.5 seconds until 1995, then they were down into the 8 second range. The Supercharged Bonneville'* are a whole different story though. BTW, my LeSabre was an 88 with the 165 horsepower 3800, the new 3800 Series II 240 horsepower is a whole other world.. and I like it. lol.

Default insanek'* 90 SE

Dude, You should kill that car. I raced many years of taurus and sable from ses'* down to early 90'* and smoked them. I had a 90 SE with a chip in it and there'* no way I run in the 9'* 0 to 60. I've been side by side with 2000 gp gt'*. I also beat a few 92 -95 se'*.

Only the SHO is fast.
You will smoke the SE.
.....but you'll never know unless you try.... Go for it.
If he had a 96 or newer it would at least keep up with even an SHO, and those are much faster than any other Taurus. But the SHO'* aren't even fast. If the SHO'* are stock a stock Series II SSEi would keep up ('96 or newer), and with a 3.4 or 3.5 pulley, haha, that would be funny. But, if you have some decent mods you should totally smoke the taurus, if your car is basically stock, you will just beat him, assuming you know how to drive.

My Jeep would smoke that LeSabre.
LOL! That LeSabre is slow. Our '90 Turbo Grand Prix with a bad turbo would smoke that LeSabre.

you guys talk like the lesabre at 9.5 is horribly slow but you are forgetting a bonneville is JUST as slow pre 1995 with the N/A engine. no, I"m not saying it'* fast either...

Actually in my opinion, I would predict the SHO to beat an ssei by a just bit. The SHO has 20 fewer hp, but it also has 300 or 400 (maybe even more) fewer pounds. And its got that 5 speed, so if the guy driving is good with a manual...

Well, I guess that is just your opinion...but we made an SHO look like a complete fool in the SSEi before the rockers, so it was basically just a pulley because plugs, wires, and t-stat don't do much for performance. So my guess is without the extra ~25hp the puley gave it would be about even or the SSEi would be ahead a little. But you never know unless you were to race a stock SHO in a stock SSEi.

Interesting thing I heard from an SHO guy, the V6 SHO'* are faster than the V8'*. I thought that was pretty funny.

I would love to agree with you but the 5 speed SHO is about 1 second faster than the automatic SHO. A friend of mine has one and it is very fast. 0-60 stock in 6.4 sec and 1/4 mi in mid 14'* at 96 mph...top speed is 142 mph. Low torque but once the revs hit about 4000 rpm is winds out stong to over 7500 rpm.
They are faster than the automatic V8 Taurus'.
