Default Friend says he can take me in 1999 taurus se

I have a friend i work with who has an exaust and intake on his 1999 taurus se. This makes me laugh. So when we get a chance i'll tell ya'll how bad i smoked him. I'll probilby have my intake done by that time anyways, and that will just add to his disappointment. Anyone got any specs on the 1999 taurus se?

I don't have any specs for the Taurus off the top of my head, but I do know you'll smoke the SH** out of it!! Can't wait to hear of the kill.

Be careful. You might be surprised at how close it will be.
Particularly if you don't have a smaller pulley and some mods.

You will probably take him for the first 60 feet then watch out.

His car will do 0-60 in about 7.5 seconds if it'* a stock automatic.

I'm confident you can do it.
Go for it.

There is no such thing as a Taurus SE(atleast not until 2000). Its a Taurus GL or LX. The GL has a 3.0 with 145 horsepower. The LX has the 200-horsepower Duratec V6.
The GL does the...
0 to 60 mph 8.8 sec.
1/4 mile (E.T.) 16.7 sec
And LX
0-60 (sec): 8.1
Quarter mile (sec/mph): 16.1/89

So you can see if it is a LX and not a GL you might have some competition.. But The GL you will totally smoke.

Only the SHO is fast.
You will smoke the SE.

As much as I hate ford I must admit the newer Taurus'* are actually quite quick. I got smoked easily by one in my LeSabre I had it floored and that Taurus SES passed me like i wasn't even moving. it sucked bad. I don't know if the SE'* are that fast, but my LeSabre ran about 9.2 0-60 and that car absolutely killed me! Even worse, it was an old guy driving it.
