Default Frankenstien Bonneville

In the spirit of discussing trim levels and features, I have an interesting story to add.

Today I pulled into a gas station in my buddies car. In front of us was a 94 SE, green and gold. Looked to be in decent shape. The rear had no spoiler and had stock SE lights. We pulled to the front of him and to my shock and amazement....

The front end was SSE it had gold trim around the little Pontiac emblem, SSE cover on the license plate (for some reason he had no front plates) and the headlamps had little washers on them. It was the most bizarre thing I have ever seen.

He must have been in a front end collision because this was no factory option. I wish I had my camera on my to take pics of, it was really different thats for darn sure

Weird, since both my bumpers are messed up i've wondered about getting full SSE trim on mine... Only 4 door panels then at that point really.

EDITL: but stuff like my fogs are in the wrong place and my exhaust would look silly.

If you thought that was strange, look at this 1994 SSEi with a 92 SE grill: Sorry custom.

He said he liked it more, and all the guestbook comments said WTF were you thinking...

I think those are HORRENDOUSLY ugly. They tried to carry over the grill from the 87-91 gen and it failed. My requirements for my cars looks were new grill, spoiler, and real wheels.

Just shows you how easy it is to swap body panels.

I kinda like the grille of the 92/93, its a bit more aggressive IMO. It was kind neat to see an SE with SSE fogs tho. Caught me off guard big time

Wish I'd seen that. If I had an SE I'd do the same thing to it.

When you say washers... do you mean the little nozzles that were like an option on the 87-91 SSEs? Or do you mean like washer/wiper combo :?
