All cars have their problems. Just take care of it and it will treat you well. Abuse it and it will cost you money !

Pontiacs are generally very reliable !!

Yah, what everyone else said. These cars are troopers. They are generally very reliable (Pontiacs in general, especially the Bonnies and GPs) and take a heck of a lot more abuse than most cars (My husband and I had a GP that went 215,000+ miles being totally mistreated...we never did the regular maintenance, maybe changed the oil once every 8-10 thousand miles, and drove it hard. He'* still going on his original tranny and nothing under the hood was ever replaced other than filters, plugs and wires, oil, and alternater). All cars have their issues (and as people have said, thank heavens you don't have a Chrysler or Ford...I had a cousin who dropped 3 Chrysler trannies and I've never heard good things about Fords).

If you want a car that will last forever with little maintenance, get a Toyota or Honda and drive it like a little old lady...if you want a fun car that you love and want to drive it, relax and we'll be here for you if you have a problem.

"If it aint broke, dont fix it"- It aint broke yet, right? so do all you can in preventative maintenance and inspections, and there should be little to worry about...
