My tan SSEi that i bought in 03 was the first Bonneville i had ever drove, but most certainly not the only SSE/SSEi i had rode in.
The drive was it, i decided right then and there no matter what, this was the car for me, i had to have it.

Same feeling when i went and looked at my Red SSEi, pretty much knew i was gunna buy it the minute i started it up and pulled out of the snow on that lot.

The 95 SSEi I went to look at. One day I looked over 4 Bonnes and this was the last stop. Wasn't overly impressed as it had an exhaust leak from cracked manifold and plugged cat on old wires and plugs.

After a tune up and maintenance work.. heck yeah.

97 SSEi was the first S2 I drove and it was good in comparison.

I had never driven one before either. The first time I drove mine was the test drive. I pulled out of the lot slowly and when I got it straight on the road,I went WOT. I pulled back into the lot and the salesman was laughing at me. I got out with the biggest grin on my face

Me too, but I almost refuse to drive one.

Why? Then I'll probably want to sell my SE to get a SSEi. OR a Regal GS, one of those with the famed S2 L67.

I drove the 95 SSEi Bill owns at NEBF in October. I knew the moment I sat in the car I wanted to buy it from him. And I did on November 27th.

I'm still a SSEi virgin. I'm still amazed at how my L27 moves along, I'd kill myself in a SC.

First one I drove was the 94 that Jim W picked up, I drove it the following day. Then he sold it to bonnie94ssei before I could drive it again, lol.

I test drove a 97 or 98 SSEi when I had my 96 SLE, just to see how much of a power difference there was. To my surprise, it didn't feel that much faster. Then again, it could have had some underlying problems that weren't showing up either.

Next time I drove an SSEi was the one I have now. And I wasn't able to drive it very far....
