Hi all,
I haven't seen any discussion about this yet, so thought I'd pass it on for those interested.
Most 95+ Pontiac stock cassette stereos have a second 9-pin plug on the back of the unit that was designed to control a Delco CD Changer. Not a bad changer, but I wanted to be able to play music CDs as well as MP3 files, and the Delco changer won't. I found a converter that will allow you to use a Kenwood CD Changer with your factory Pontiac stereo, as long as it has that extra 9-pin plug. Here'* the scoop:

By the way, you can find this stuff cheaper than Crutchfield... I just used their site as a link since it was pretty informative.
I know some of you are into custom sound systems, but for me, the high-end stock system sounds pretty damn good. With this converter, and the new Kenwood KDC-CX89 10 disc CD/MP3 changer, I'm gonna be set. Factory stereo, which looks good, steering wheel controls will still function, no FM modulation like most other changers, and 10 CDs in the changer loaded with approx 100 songs on a disc... that'* a LOT of music.
There were a couple of those new changers that just sold on Ebay for $225 a piece... so if you shop around, you could snag a changer and the converter for around $300... not too bad.
