Default Finally my parts car!!!!

Finally got my taxes back and went to pick up my parts car.. drove it home, runs fine, they just spent over a grand to rebuild the transmission (gave me the reciept), and now it is going to be stripped down for parts for my car and then parted out. what is left will be going to the scrap yard.

time for the tear down

Whoa whoa............. why would you part this one out? It looks to be in excellent shape! Hey, I say you put your doors on it and drive it. Looks extremely clean.

you know, it you have a clear title for the part'* car, and the rockers and b-pillar are not damaged, you might want to consider swapping your driver'* side doors, exhause and maybe rear bumper cover over to it.

lot less body work that way.

LOOKS that way, but up close, the "B" pillar is smashed in about an inch or two, so even good doors would not even think of lining up. believe me, I thought about it, but even if I did do it, it just wouldn't seem like "my" car :? The paint on the rest of my car is also in way better condition. The worst part is that I just spent $800 to have my front end straightened out. Either way, I am going to lose money, but I want MY car

The interior is in very good shape, no tears or bad stains, plus, I figure that someone on here would love to get ahold of some of the good parts on this car when I am done with it.

EDIT: My car also still has a clear title.. as does the parts car

the car on jackstands is my "project" it is a 1982 Pontiac Grand Prix sitting on a 1991 Chevy *-10 4x4 frame. I recently acquired some solid axles to go under it. I need to box in the frame yet and permanently mount the body on the frame. My neighbor is helping me with the toy, and we are putting in his old race car engine, over 500 horsepower

probably going to have either 33' or 35' tires on it when it is all done

I do have pics of it before I sold the rims and tires, did not run, but you can sort of get the image I am going for
