So far my 98 SSEI has Colder Plugs, New wires , 180 Thermostat, Shift kit, Gutted airbox with K&N filter , high flow cat and a 3.5inch Pulley. I have pretty much reached my inteneded goals with mods and I feel that i have enough supporting mods to keep KR at a minimum (correct me if im wrong) but the final mod i am considering is a pcm tune. I was hoping that since there are many extremely knowledgeable people on this forum , someone can point me in the right direction and give me a little information about a possible pcm tune such as : Is it worth it? Will it make that much of a difference ? Should I go with ZZP or Intense ? Anything else i should know before or after doing the upgrade is also very appreciated!

The canned tunes from ZZP/Intense can adjust some settings for you, and will likely be better than your factory tune, but they are only sending you a tune from another "similar" car. If you really want to get some performance out of the tune you need to find someone with a tuner that can spend a few hours with you testing and adjusting. You will also need a Wideband 02 sensor to really dial it it.

I agree with Tom. You would end up spending money on a canned tune that "averagely" worked on other cars that has the same engine as yours. But remember, ALL sensors "sense" differently and when tunes were made, they are based off of what sensors were telling them. If you are serious into modding more, I say buy your own tuner and do your own. Then you can go even further with a inter-cooler and smaller pully without worrying about sending your PCM out for ANOTHER re-tune.
