Default Fatal Bonneville Accident

Although it doesn't say it in the news report, this was a 90'* Bonneville.

A report from another station said....
Around 1:45 a.m. police say the driver ran into a cement pillar at the Kent Hills Country Club. The car caught on fire and the driver was not able to get out.

The accident happened in the 1600 block of College NE.

Police are also investigating why the car strayed from the roadway.
Makes one wonder if perhaps an exploding intake caused the crash. :?:

i believe the exploding uim was a prob that would occur at start up. this person ran into a cement pillar. so, car was running.

i would only assume alchol was involved.

Dang...no matter how safe the cockpit of the car is during a crash...it can't protect you from a fire. That is really sad.

It'* more likely to occur at start-up, but can at anytime a backfire may occur. At that time of morning, it would not be unusual for the driver to be under the influence, and there are a few bars in the area. They report on the news said that speed was apparently not a factor, however there were several severe cracks in the cement pillar. Regardless of what the movies show, cars do not normally catch fire during an accident. Sadder yet...she was 27.
