Default Factory options from VIN number?

Is there anyway to find out what options I have using the vin number? I really do not have access to the car so this is the only way that I know of.

From the dealer maybe.

Why don't you just get someone to shoot a pic of the RPO label if you don't have access yourself?

The car is in storage and no one has easy access to it. I am working on the wiring plan for my l67 swap and have to know several things i don't know or remember.

You don't need to know your options for the swap. Your options don't depend on the PCM or engine/trans wiring harness.

From what i can tell looking at the 91 factory manual there are wiring changes for the instrument cluster.

Which car? The '91, no. It'* no longer in the GM system. The '98 probably still is. Any GM dealer (usually the service dept.) can run a VIS and get the option codes.

That would be an awesome piece of software for someone on the board to come up with. I doubt GM would wanna give up that much info, but it sure would be fun to have!

Yes i was looking for the 91,and i would go to the local dealer, but i am in Korea. Not really worth the trip if you know what i mean. Was just hoping someone here could help me out. I only have limited time once a year to work on this so i plan alot to make things go as smooth as i can.
