Default Factory Leather

the leather in my 2000 is in excellent shape. However, as most of us know, most late model pontiac leather is comparable to that used in a football or basketball. Has anyone successfully softened their leather up? I am contemplating going with a company I haved used in the past (they did up a 2004 trailblazer LS I owned) to get new leather (maybe do a 2 tone or suede insert) but this leather is in excellent shape so it would be ashame to do.

I will be doing the same thing when the time comes for me to get the leather done. I am going to go with microfiber inserts instead of suede...easier to care for, cheaper, and should wear a bit better. My Maxx is like that, and at first I didn't like it, but it'* grown on me quite a bit now.
