Faced my fear
So I helped my best friend Today replace his front struts. Mine you I tried about a year ago to replace my on my shadow. Did not have the right compressors. So the spring released on me three times send one compressor through my dad'* metal draw. Every metal ring and clank I would jump. seeing a strut assembly I'd walk the long way around. Last night I was having a panic attack thinking about doing two of them today. But with the right spring compressors this time it was a breeze I feel like I faced my fear and a year of fear is lifted from my soul.

I know what you mean. I did that at NEBF when Rachael had it in her head we'd change her struts. My usual was to toss the stuff in the trunk and give it to Mechanic Dan for the day. Since he doesn't charge me labor..what the heck.
We did them with compressor that was a single bolt operation, one threaded rod compresses both sides and presto..it'* off.

I've done struts with a pretty cheap spring compression tool. I was pretty anxious during the time it took me and unless I get another tool (like the one Bill had at NEBF) I probably will take my struts down to Les Schwab or whomever and have them do it. There'* allot of stored energy in there and you need a robust tool your trust to do the work safely.
