how much play should there be in the exhaust system. i know there should be some. but i can move mine up and down easily although there doesnt seem to be any brackets missing or anything.i could hear it rattling a little today when i was driving down a gravel road.but i guess it could have been rocks hitting it. the reason i ask is i have to do some minor offroading in this car (ud have to see where i live) and i mightve knocked somethin loose.

if you hear rattling check the cat...i noticed a rattling on mine and it was the top pan on the cat vibrating causing it to rattle...i just drilled a few holes and put a screw with some washer and a nut on there...stopped it...

thats probly what it is cause it sounded like whatever was rattlin' was like right under me or so.which is where the cat is.unless the big thing thats on my exhaust under the front seat area isnt the cat(which i think it is)
