ok i got my flowmaster 80 series...2.5 dual outs...ok i got new pipe to go from the dual outs to the tips..well i have a problem...the pipe doesnt go over the outlet...it goes up against it...or it goes inside of it...do i wnat the pipe inside the outlet things? i dont think so...but will it work? any suggestions

Can you clarify? Do you mean that the tips don't fit over the outlets or do you mean that the pipes running from the tips to the outlets don't fit over them? I would be inclined not to put the pipes in the outlets. If you are speaking about the pipes and not the outlets, I would have them butt welded together.

its the pipe that bends and goes from teh outlets ot the tips...should i butt weld it or go back and get a different pipe that goes over it so that the outlet is inside that new pipe...or should i butt wled it together!

I would butt weld it--but that is me. I think either would work.

or should i just cut the factory ones off and reweld htem back onto the new muffler and put the tips on them?

so putting the curved pipe inside the outlet end would be ok? or try to butt weld it...the only thing bout butt welding it is if it becomes to wide im screwed then

if i get new outlet pipes will i need to weld a metal piece from the curved piece to the frame like the factory one is? or can it just go w/ out it?

When I did my exhaust I just kept the stock outlet pipes where they were, welded extension pieces to them so they reached the new muffler which was obviously not as big as the stock one.

ook its late and im in one of my weird moods... i think that is the most i have ever seen the term "butt-weld" in one post.. lol

It is only appropriate when speaking in ACTUAL welding terms. (Notice I didn't say exhaust term as that may be missconstrued).
