We had like 18 smog days in Toronto this year...not so bad in the 'ssauga or outlying cities, but damn on those hot muggy days...I'm just glad we have bi-annual emissions testing on all Ontario cars

I think the reason Gov Jesse got rid of the testing here was A. Because it was only done if you lived in a big city (i.e. the Twin Cities or Duluth) and b. 99.9% of all cars that had to take it were passing anyway. It was costing more to test the cars than it was bringing in.

That would be consistant, the cat converter acts as a filter and helps to take pollutants out of your exhaust. Personally IMO its environmentally irresponsible to drive without one....
