Can someone Tell me what I should check first If my engine Hesitates mostly at highway driving, it only does it when going up an incline or on cruise control on open roads, not around town, Should I check the EGR valve?? or what 1st?

now that i think about it..thats what my dads car was doing....xactly...hold a grounded screwdriver near the cap ends of ur wires...watch carefully for spark jumps...there you should find ur break in the insulation...cheap easy fix....goodluck

A mechanic just looked at my car and failed to find anything wrong with it, he said something about the Lock box searching for a gear for the torque converter and said it was normal in these cars...???? any ideas?

does it feel jearky at around 60 mph after 5th kicks in?.......if so at that speed the engines low rpms cause miss fires and losses of voltage to show up more easily...try the plugs and wires...it shouldnt be more than 50 bucks...
