I've finally just plain given up on finding a set of FE2 swaybars and springs. I've tried the local salvage yards, I've tried the "wanted" forum here, I've tried the junkyarders here, I've tried buying them from a member parting-out an SSEi (parts got lost by FedEx), and I'm just tired of waiting. I've wanted to do the FE2 sways, springs, and I was going to add the ELC components and struts too, along with new endlinks. But I encountered failure after failure trying to get the sways and springs, so I finally just decided to go ahead and have the endlinks installed.

I might revisit the idea of better suspension someday, but it'* just been too frustrating, having PMs and forum posts ignored after getting offers to sell FE2 parts. I hope the endlinks add a bit of firmness, at least those parts were available at Autozone.

I'll have a full report and pics when I get it back.
It'* back in the shop for power steering pump, I apparently got a bad one a couple weeks ago.

Sorry to hear of your frustrations on the FE2 suspension, but the endlinks willl help. IIRC, you are in California, correct? Southern or Northern?

If you want, I will make sure to let you know if I find any in the junkyards, here. Maybe we can meet up in California on one of my trips out to my brothers house for delivery.

Yes, I'll gladly keep open the plan to upgrade someday if I can ever collect the parts. Keep your eyes open at the yards, and let me know if you find any!

I really *really* wanted to report something other than "I totally can't tell any difference" . . .

. . . I really can't. I think part of this has to do with my original endlinks were not broken or failing in any meaningful way. I know the polyurethane should be stiffer than the factory endlinks' rubber, so there should be a corresponding stiffening and less roll at the endlinks themselves. Now this very well may be the case, without being perceptable to me from behind the wheel. Then again, I haven't been doing any slaloms in the car!

I will say this for it: Upgrading to the Energy Susp. endlinks certainly won't be any worse. But presuming that they are stiffer, I just can't feel it from behind the wheel. :(

We've certainly seen our share of endlinks that are *TRASHED* if not completely broken and snapped, so it'* a worthy upgrade even if you don't feel a difference, simply from a standpoint of preventive maintenance.

At least ya got bragging rights now Guess its good that your old ones were still OK.

Yes, I did the rear too, using the same Energy Susp. kit that everyone else used, plus the #8 bolt from Lowe'* and stainless steel nylock nuts.

As for what they cost, I don't recall, they're at Autozone, something like $15 for the front kit, and similar for the kit and hardware store bolts that you make the rear from.
