On the 2000+ models only the SSEi has it. The air compressor has the on/off switch in the trunk and a valve so you can hook up a line with a pressure gauge to inflate tires, and 2 more pins to inflate basketballs and air matresses. Very convenient!! Also you can lift the rearend of the car with the aircompressor on.

Everytime I start my car I get the "buzzing"; I think we've concluded that this is the compressor. I have never hunted for it though..
