Default Ebay swoops i bought

Hey guys, finally got my "new" chrome swoopies out of the box, took them to Les Schwab to get some new skins on them, and the inside lip is all corroded!! They don't even know if they'll hold air. DOH! I'll find out tomorrow, but I hope at least one of them holds air! Anybody wanna buy some swoopies?

You'd probably notice it with a low tire pressure burnout. If they don't leak then, you'll be ok.

I hear this is common with chrome rims. The inner edge gets all messed up and corroded and you just need to take a SOFT buscuit on an air tool and buff it out a little bit. Your good to go.

Sorry to hear...

Tire guys were telling me a 17 chrome can be a pain to mount tires on..(wonder how they feel about larger)

If you decide not to go with them..I may be interested in them as a set or a single for a spare.

If they hold air, I'll probably sell the 3 that are on my car now. I'll keep ya posted.

Good man, you need a "new" set...

Did you email the seller about the corrosion?

No, I didn't, but they seem to be holding air right now. I also changed tire sizes from 245/55'* to 235/45'*. I think that'* what they were.

Stock tire size is 235/55
235/45 would be much smaller diameter.......better for acceleration but your speedo will read higher than you are actually going.

That'* why I got them. They look kinda funny cause they're so small, it really needs to drop about 2 inches, oh well.
