I had it in the Zilla for less than 2 weeks. The sound of the OEM stereo far surpasses this Jensen in the car.

I really liked my oem one cause it looked great and fit perfect..sound quality wasn't too bad.
Making a unit like that would be nice, just as a project, something to use in the garage.

Easy to do, guys. Very easy. Pick your components, build the box, and paint. My speaker connections are home-style push to release on the back, and I used a computer style 3-prong socket in the back (fused) so I use a computer cord for power. Makes it easier to haul around without wires hanging out the back.

Ahhh.....the original pic from long ago (about 3 years, actually):

Build is rather simple. I can pull the back off and shoot some pics this weekend.

you did all that and didn't go get some nice speakers to go with it??

Maybe a yard around you has a full set of stock SSEi speakers you could get for 5-10 bucks.

Is that Jensen Changer modulated, or direct connect?
