Mine is always on! I love it. So did mom, but Dad always positioned it all the way down so no one could see it instead of just turning it off.
I just wish I could still see it with sunglasses on, thats pretty much the reason I dont wear sunglasses

Always on in my Prix, and its pretty well done, show temperature, indicators, Check Gages warnings, compass, speed, CD # and track or radio station, with TapShift on it shows the gears. Pretty neat, albeit gimmicky.
Once I'm in the Aurora, I don't even realize it or become bothered by it not being there.
Just something you adapt to as car swapping goes.
