Default Distance Trunk opens

In the 92-99 Bonnevilles, when you press the remote trunk release, it only pops open about six inches.

However, in the 00-05 Bonnevilles, do the same thing and the trunks opens all the way up.

Is this due to the struts? If so, are the struts of both generations of similar length and size?

I want my trunk to open all the way remotely (helps when you have your arms full)

Try adjusting your trunk springs. They are the metal rods underneath your back deck.

I need to kick mine down a notch.... I think I could launch a cat to the moon with how fast and hard it opens.. 00-05 have really stiff springs.

Use caution, those are under alot of tension and could hurt you.

The trunk pop all depends on how much tension you have on the torsion bars. At one point I uh..over adjusted mine and could have been a force to reckon with in the kitty launching try outs.

I think we would all like to see a Barney trunk launch, where is the furry little one.I cured my GXP switchblade action by bolting the subwoofer amps to the trunk lid. It'* a good place for it, its out of the way and the heat sinks get the air they need.
