Well, I think I've finally reached the end here folks. Today I was vacuuming my drivers side, I had plans to clean out my interior really well and shampoo the rug, to get rid of this nasty smell. I pull up my drivers floor mat, and the rug is SOAKED with water, and it stinks. I removed all the trim along the door and around the hood release lever, and pulled back the heavy soaked carpet, and the under lay and found this.

Thats a very long screw driver, and that hole is very large, the floor on that side is mostly soft.

Another chunk thats coming out.

Passenger side is starting.
I don't know what to do guys. I'm very unhappy, as soon as I saw that I put all my stuff away, put the carpet back and walked away.

I been there, on other vehicles, and it does suck....
There are ways to patch it, if you want, but sounds like you're kinda fed up.
You got a hard decision to make, huh???

well, ive gotta patch it up now with something, make it hold, and make it look half decent. Then once no more water is entering the car, I will keep it real clean, and i guess...do the deed..but I would like to see if it will be good for the summer so i can save some cash-ola.
What I have done on rusted out floors previously (this is Minnesota, we know about rusted out floors!!)
1. Cut out the rusted stuff if possible.
2. Depending on the size, get some sheet metal. Roof flashing also works (galvenized steel) if the hole is small enough.
3. drill and rivet it into place
4. See the thread about Peel and Seal for sealing the water out
5. Put the carpet back down. Good as new. (or close enough)
Option - bondo the edges of the patches.
