Default differences in dash

after getting the broken dash from randman, i got a question about the differences between the 93 and 95 ssei dash.

on the 93 there is a spot in the upper right corner of the system warning lights called "rear steer"

what is it, and how come my 95 dont have it

p.*. the blue dash is gonna be sweet!

The "rear steer" I believe was an option they were going to put in, but didn't.

You know how just in the last few years GMC & Chevy trucks came out with that "rear steer" option to turn the back tires..... yea... well that'* what they were going to put in the Bonneville.

At least... that'* my understanding.

There was a previous topic about it.... I should see if I can dig it up

Big FWD car with a transversely mounted motor... the turning circle is humongous. Similar sized RWD cars with longitudinal mounted motors have better turning circles. Why? The sideways mounted motor subtracts from the amount that the front wheels can turn

No Bonnevilles were produced with the option. That entire thread was a joke, except that some early cars DID have the light.

If I have rear steer it'* cause something broke back there.

I did have an oppertunity to drive a Preleude with the 4WS. Kinda of a strange feeling having the but end swing out from under you. A subtle motion but the glutes knew something was different.
