Default Did My First Oil Change Today

Since my change was due I decided to go on my own.. Well actually a friend helped me since he had the tools. Bought Mobil 1 Extended Performance (5 qts) and a Mobil 1 oil filter. There was a deal to get all that for $30. (savings of $7-10).

It was actually alot easier that I thought. Feels good to do my own work. And my friend helped so I didn't screw up. (like lubing that seal on the filter).

Now I feel I could tackle changing the tranny lines...

Be careful who you tell this to or you'll end up changing oil in some girls' cars in a parking lot outside your place of work.

Progress! Nice to see you're running great oil. How many miles will you put on it before the next oil change.

Glad to hear you gave it a try.

All of you do know that everything on a car is easy as long as you turn a wrench or screwdriver and are willing to try. Sure some things require using instructions and might get sent out to a machine shop because we don't own that level of tools... overall an engine is nothing more than a bunch of nuts and bolts holding parts together.

And yes, these girls were very appreciative I changed their oil. But one hadn't had it changed in 10,000 miles so I couldn't NOT do it. I actually TAUGHT one of them how to do it because she wanted to learn (and her boyfriend wouldn't show her). :P
