Sounds like they treated you right. They could have said you had a fuel leak and tried to con you into paying out for more work.

I called to "check" on my application and they said they haven't done anything yet. :(

So I'm still holding out hope....

Jacob. Make sure you drop in and ask about the job. They need to know your face and your name. Talk to them often without being annoying. If you're standing there when the boss decides to hire, your chances skyrocket. Most employers are more apt to hire someone they're familiar with than someone off a sheet of paper.

I totally agree with SSE Motorhead. Go in and talk to somebody. It can't hurt.
