I routinely run my car through first and second and plan on racing it at least once a month. I'm not worried about killing this thing. 3800'* are pretty much bulletproof, except for the trannies as was previously mentioned.

I never push past 2000 rpm'*, never speed more than 5mph over the posted limit, change my oil every 500 miles, and have my performance shift button disabled.
Ok, all kidding aside....my redline was raised by the Jet chip. I hit it often, but never rev in neutral or park. My car is in performance shift mode about 50% of the time, when it'* safe I run some godawful speeds (never with the kids), and change my oil every 3000 miles.
This weekend I pulled a 300 mile trip up in the mountains driving HARD, and still managed 24.5 mpg. Not bad considering the pulley. Coming back I milked it due to the law enforcement presence, and got 29.5.
These things are way overbuilt. I'd say drive it the way you feel most comfortable. I have this car to enjoy it, and I intend to. I know my trans will go first, but I'll have enough warning to be able to plan ahead.

Around town I can understand getting 15 mpg but my trip last weekend was highway mostly albeit at a good clip but I still only averaged 16 mpg.
My mileage is so low, I have a hard time believing it could be a bad O2 sensor.
Any advice?
I don't want to complain to the dealer, lest he discover my 3.4" pulley but I have so few other mods..... :?

Well I guess my mileage is pretty low then I get around 15 or so around town. All my driving is done on probably the busiest road in town. Between home and work its like 2 miles or so. I probably get 5 or 6 miles a day. Been getting around 240 or 250 miles on like 16 gallons. Not sure if the o2 sensor is bad but how would I know. Can't really afford buying it if it doesn't work.

Guys.....to make this worse (sorry) I actually hit triple-digits on the speedo a few times on that trip. That includes 132mph last night. Jim has the pic of my HUD
Keep in mind that most of my mods actually can have a beneficial effect on mileage. Before modding the car last year, I was only getting 22 mpg on the highway. I had bad plugs, wires, and O2 sensor. After all that, it went to 26 or 27. Even my Jet chip helps the mileage if I keep the foot gentle on the loud pedal.
I'd say anyone not getting better than 25 highway is in need of some attention. Whether that'* a full tuneup or an O2 sensor (or O3 sensor, whatever it takes), that'* up to you.
