Default Dad'* Dirty One Hundred

Jon.. you can have this pos motor.. Started out his intake gaskets were bad. Only the second time in 70K miles, not shabby eh? Of course the fuel o-rings didn't like that and I had to rip the top back off. Then the radiator cap puked. Easy enough fix. Then it seemed like a water pump leak. Did that, great for two days. When it leaked again, I called in backup. Now the friggin head gasket is shot. It'* never been abused/overheated so hopefully it'* just the gasket.

I'll stick to the 3800, thanks.. There'* never a need to take off the fuel schrader cap in order to remove a ps pump on my favorite motor!

I'm pulling out a can of gas and matches if I go near it again.

I don't think I've ever seen a blown 3800 head gasket except in extreme boost scenarios.

Shortly after I bought my 96 in 2002 I got a blown head gasket. Consider yourself lucky!
