Yeah I think for the time being I will just go for looks. But what would you suggest down the line for my car ?

Well, like I said, hi-flow cat and get a better muffler. Oh and get a nice intake to go with the "performance" exhaust. An intake is nothing without the exhaust and vice versa

I'm a MagnaFlow man myself. And a catalytic conveter is a part of the exhaust system that filters out harmless emissions. Its like an exhaut filter of sorts. It also has a sound deadening quality to it. A high flow unit simply has a wider diameter pipe allowing exhaust under pressure to escape.

Someone correct me if I got the functions wrong

two mufflers reduce backpressure (performance) huh? I wonder why the 2000+ SLE and SSEi Bonneville'* have dual muffler exhaust sytems then.

sorry jim, I was referring to a post towards the top not one of yours, don't think I was dissin you. BTW, I believe your car and mine have the exact same mufflers... they're sure damn quiet arne't they?! ... a little TOO quiet.. (the bonneville setup sounds much better IMO )

Agreed...I might consider what TaylorD did with his 96 Rora...he had Corsa setup.

So what would be my best bet with this custom job ? Should I go for one muffler with the two tips coming out of it or should I go to with two mufflers with one tip a piece ? And what muffler would be the best to get ?

Get one Magnaflow muffler with 1 inlet from the pipe and two outlets to custom tips...sweet
