Default Crunch Time

I was stopped in a line of traffic this morning minding my own business, the next thing I knew was jammed into the back of the van in front of me. I was rear ended, luckily no one was hurt. The vehicle that collided into me was a Jaguar * Type. He sustained much more damage than I. So I have minor damage on the front end which will require basically a new bumper cover. The back end is looking sick though and will require more extensive repair. The unibody section under the right rear bumper cover was crushed inward also, and the quarter panel was rolled inward, the cowbell was bent downward. Oh yea, it doesn't look pretty but I can drive it & I'm alive to tell about it. Thank God.

That really sucks, bro.
Hopefully since the other driver can afford a Jag * type he can afford the insurance payments as well. Don't let the insurance company screw you over, take it to the absolute best body shop and have it done right.

John, the front end damage is mainly scrapes & abrasions and not too photogenic.
The front bumper cover will definitely need replacement, I'll insist.

Thanks guys for the replies. His insurance is definitely paying for all damages & repair. The police officer gave him a ticket ($83.00) for failure to maintain safe distance. The cop saw the whole dang accident take place.

Perfect...there was finally a cop where and when you needed one. And him actually seeing the accident occur instead of him being busy eating his donut was even better. You can't get a better witness than a cop.
