Default Could the Nova Make a Comeback?

I still like to keep up with the latest and greatest on GM News and Technical Info and stumbled across what looks like some news a few days ago. There was a push around 8 years ago to restart a platform for the Chevrolet Nova. Needless to say ....it wasn't very well received at the time. Seemed like every car front end from Chevrolet looked pretty much the same. The open faced grille with the crossbar across the opening was redundant among Chevrolet grilles of the day.

Initially...this was the look that the car designers had in mind. It was called the "Chevrolet Code 130R" concept.

Same basic look....different vehicle. I mean....Cmon.....how bout a little more originality guys? :

Same basic grille as a 2012 Equinox:

and a Chevrolet Malibu:

or even a Chevrolet Cruze for that matter:

It looks like the Nova got taken back to the drawing board. If this is even going to be released I'm sure it will undergo still yet....more changes but here'* where it'* currently at in terms of overall architectural look:

Being a bit more streamlined in nature with an identity look all to its own instead of yet another clone among the rest of the GM line up ...it also has the historic roots and looks of yesteryears Nova:

Let'* see if it really goes through. Hopes are up from me.

Here'* the article link for more info:

Thanks CC..Interesting POC -1988 5 Door Hatch Back with a 1.6 L engine. What is really comical is the co-op name of NUMMI.
I'll just add a D & call it DUMMI ... don't buy one.
