Default Coolant Recovery Tank

Is there any history of these tanks being prone to leaking?

About 2 months ago I replaced the hose from radiator to the tank thinking it was that. Now it continues to leak and it appears to be possibly coming from the fender side. When I get a chance I'll take it out and look. I'm just curious if this is a common problem with our cars or not.

Before anyone chimes in asking or stating UIM/LIM problem it is not. It is definitely coming from the tank.

I am not sure about them necessarily being "prone" to leaking, but it can happen. I have seen it happen to other cars before.

Ya the Ford Taurus is notorious for having them leak.

Another question: What model years have the same tank? I'm assuming 92-99. I'll probably get one from the JY for a few bucks!

One or two a year on average on the Forum as I recall. I'd call that fairly uncommon.
