Controller Area Network Protocol in 2008 ?
CAN Protocol?
Anyone up on this CAN Protocol that the 2008 model cars will be using?
Heard that most OBD 2 code readers will not be able to read this.

I could be wrong here, But I have heard that compianies like dodge were testing a new system some time ago... Instead of having to hook the car up to a scantool, you just connect with the car via a signal... I guess in the way a wireless network would function...
From what a dodge guy told me over a year ago, the technology has gotten advanced, and pretty soon the cars will tell the Mechanic what the problem is... So look for things to improve in the diagnosis department...
Personally I still like my lesser controled 89-95, 96-99 sort of falls into that category as well
