I'm gonna try an fab something up, apparently the part the dealer sells
is a completely different than the original...
If anyone has pictures of the 96-99 or 2000+ I'd like to see thoses aswell
maybe I can find out what the part they were selling is from
Thanks,
Ice

These might help. http://bizio.homeftp.org/geoff/bc/sseiday/Console/
Let me know if you need more, my console is still mostly apart in the trunk of my car so I can get more if needed. I can also give advice on taking the whole thing apart.

I need pictures like this...

excuse the gunk, some moron used duct tape, I'm in the process of cleaning it
dimensions would also help, how long is the hook and how wide,
how far does the end of the hook stick out?
Any help would be great thanks

I would convert the lid to the newer 96-99 style. Why you ask? Well, I am stuck with a brand new, never used, in the box, bezel that I would like to unload
This includes the latch, and cup holder. I have been told they are nicer than the older style.
Just a suggestion

The conversion is pretty easy, and well worth it.... I did it to mine... I went through 2 92-95 latched and cup holders.... I had a fit when the last one broke, and just ordered the 96-99 parts and installed them a ways back... I think I have pics on a disk somewhere..
Very happy with the newer style unit...
