Default Comments, Please

Other than being listed as a V8 (it'* a V6, isn't it? :? ), does anyone see anything blatantly wrong with the info listed for this Bonne?

http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.js...or=&cardist=26

Comments about anything else relative to this year/model would be appreciated. I absolutely have to purchase a car within the next 7 days and my heart'* still set on a Bonneville.

Thanks bunches

Melanie

I dont see anything wrong with the listing (other than the V8 thing you mentioned). However, there are a lot of things that you should look for before you make a commitment. Fly around BC and you will see the common issues. I would take it to your mechanic and have them check for cracked intake, coolant/oil mixes, and a detailed tranny check.

Others may suggest other things to look for...but that is where I would start.

I would love a V8 Bonneville...

Everything looks ok to me (stats wise) just ask about the upper intake manifold and make sure you check the oil and coolant.

It doesn't! Read the Build Sheet I posted. I also checked the Service History for this vehicle since it went into production. It was last in for J4100 - GENERATOR ASSEMBLY - REPLACE here: Repair Order Date : 09/13/2000 Now unless he has decided to VOID his warranty & put in a V8 from then until now, well that'* kind of stupid!

Yeah a drop in motor, who woulda thought!

Void his warranty, well, warranties aren't always reliable, and if you're doing your own engine, it'll have a warranty on that, and all the other parts are still covered, atleast under US law.
