i was wondering how to make a cold air intake for a 94 sse L27?
maybe add a flowmaster in the stock muffler place? dia of inlet/outlet? help!

As for building your own CAI, well just don't do what I saw yesterday at work on a 2002 GP GT! This guy used 3" black PCV piping & hose clamps & zip ties to build his!

see when you are an employee for micks (a machine shop that spealizes in balance and blueprinting engines) there is no need for an intake on some cars or a performnace muffler( muffler is just better sound and an intake doesn't make or break horsepower) so in that case the car started out to be a joke and turn in to some thing better than that i will have picks and time prove my creation!!!!
Actually, it doesn't matter what you do 'under the covers', the wrong exhaust on the 3800 will KILL torque. Be very careful with that.

You need to have a properly breathing engine.... Especially for something thats been toyed with. When the exaust./intake restricts the engine stock what do you think your engine is doing bored out? An engine is just a big air pump in a way (very very basic here) more in, and more out is more HP. You cant have too much out though, you need backpressure and such to help each piston gettting pulled by the others...

maybe your right maybe not but the car didnt have any kind of exhaust just pipe it to loud! he had 3 inch but i scrap pulling in to every parking lot. thats why is was wondering about stock dia? as far as the intake i havent came across any thing that worked well so thats why i was asking everyone else! beside the engine only has 300miles on it i want to get everything flowing propperly before i start really seeing what she can do!

If we put the stock exhaust back on the GTP we would lose ~35hp, and that is a BIG loss.
